Join the election and help us select the best logo for Lumiera.

The Contest

A Community Contest has been organized to get Lumiera a logo. There is no prize except a logo for Lumiera.

108 logo concepts have been submitted. They have been commented and worked on by community members, so that many logos have one creator an many contributors. Some logos were created merging several ideas. The collection phase has truly been a joined effort. The collage by pineconecs is a tribute to this splendid community job. 21 logos have just been selected following those criteria:

• meet the technical and creative requirements
• are loved by the community, that is
  • were appreciated on IRC or Mailing list
  • received at least one fully positive comment and more positive comments than negative comments.
• are liked by the core devs (three logo concepts were excluded)

Note: Variations of the same logo have been grouped.

The winner will be a logo concept and might still need to be refined.BR If you want to add your comments or contributions you are welcome to do so in the [http://www.pipapo.org/pipawiki/Lumiera/Logos/Selection/Comments Selection Comments page].BR All the logo details pages and the main contest pages are not editable anymore.

How to vote

• Send an e-mail message to mailto:raffa@lumiera.org and request to be included in the voters list. You'll receive a message with a link to the election held at [http://www.cs.cornell.edu/andru/civs.html CIVS]. Anyone can vote. Lumiera and Cinelerra Mailing Lists subscribers have been automatically invited to vote.

• Look carefully at the candidates list below. View all the images and variations for different purposes by clicking on the logo thumbnail.
• Note that on the election page the list of candidates has no images. Logos are represented by a number, a title and the creator's name.
• Vote by ranking each logo with a number. Number 1 is for the best ones. You can give the same number to as many logos as you want.

Voting will be closed on December 31 at midnight (and a leap second).
